SOAKE POOLS FEATURED IN BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS

In the past couple of months, we've seen an uptick in clients interested in smaller pools, sometimes referred to as plunge pools or cocktail pools.

Many are drawn to the fact that these smaller pools can be equipped with a heater and kept open year-round. Others like the fact that a smaller pool equals less maintenance.

Additionally, a growing desire for many homeowners looking to add a pool includes making sure it doesn't take up the entire backyard.

Since newly built houses keep getting bigger, and land parcels are getting smaller, it's becoming more important to make sure patio and pool designs make the best use of available space.

If you're thinking about a pool - big or small - then I'll encourage you to take a look at an article recently published in Better Homes and Gardens. Influencer Emily Henderson had room for a traditional large pool but opted for a small 7x13 Soake pool for a more curated garden feel in her backyard.

The completed design is amazing!!

Personally, I love designing small spaces. Not only does every inch matter, but often the challenges with the project end up becoming the driving force behind our creativity and, in turn, the most unique and fun aspect of the project.

This is one of the reasons Living Spaces decided to partner with Soake pools late last year. These small pools are so versatile and can be designed to fit any style, from the more modern tiles and pavers often found in the new housing developments in Cranberry, Wexford, and Gibsonia, to the more natural stone and brick styles desired in Fox Chapel, Mt. Lebanon, and Squirrel Hill.

"In a world where it feels like everything from houses to drink cups is constantly growing and “bigger is better” is basically the law, something that bucks the trend by going in a smaller direction can be sweetly refreshing—and in the case of Emily Henderson’s gorgeous Soake Pool, this trend-breaker is doubly invigorating."
